During his twenty-five year career, his passion for the stage and his constant desire to explore different artistic ways allowed Bruno Pelletier to manage at the same time a prolific solo career as well as outstanding participations in several major musicals.
With more than 2 million records sold in French-speaking countries, and 3 Felix awards as Male Artist of the Year, Bruno is with no doubt, one of the leading artists of his generation.
In 1989 Bruno creates the French Rock band Pëll. With its musicians and a few compositions, Pëll tries to get noticed by professionals. In 1990, the company Les Disques Artiste signs Bruno for his first contract. His career is launched.


In 1992, in parallel to the release of his eponymous album, he plays in the musical « Les fous du rock’n’roll » and in the Quebec version of the rock opera « La légende de Jimmy” by Plamondon-Berger. In 1993, Luc Plamondon who is seduced by the singer’s talent calls him again. This time, he IS offered the role of Johnny Rockfort in the new Parisian version of the rock opera Starmania. He plays Johnny Rockfort more than four hundred times over a period of two years and during his free time, he works on his second personal album. The album “Défaire l’amour “ will be released in 1995 but will need 2 years to finally meet the success . The same year, he plays the role of a gangster in the very popular television show Omerta II and releases the album “Miserere”.
With more than 250,000 sold copies and its immediate presence in the charts, this third album has a very positive and popular impact on Bruno’s career. The next year, Bruno is awarded for the second consecutive year. He receives a double Félix award: one as Male Artist of the Year and a second one for Miserere as Album of the year. 1998 and 1999 will be the “Notre-Dame de Paris “ years. The show in which Bruno plays the role of the poet Gringoire is a triumph. The song “Le temps des cathedrals” he amazingly interpreted, brings him to the top of the charts and to makes him well-known in the French-speaking countries.
In 1999, the fourth studio album “D’autres rives » is released, simultaneously in Europe and Quebec. This release will be supported by a great tour in solo on many prestigious stages of Europe, including the Paris Olympia, La Cigale and Le Bataclan.
In August 2002 he launches the album “Un monde à l’envers “and starts a two-year tour. The same year in December, together with the Montreal Symphonic Orchestra, he makes a series of concerts at the Notre-Dame Basilica. With the great classics of Christmas as thema, he takes advantage of those concerts to record a Christmas concert album, that which will receive a huge popular success.
In 2004, he is offered the main role of the musical « Dracula – Between love and death ». Always looking for new challenges, this new adventure offers ne experiences to Bruno: the functions of art director and co-producer. The show is presented for the first time in Montreal on January 31, 2006 and becomes rapidly a success (seen by over 115,000 people). Presented at the prestigious “Maison de la Danse” in Lyon (1200 seats) in January of the next year, Dracula will know, there too, both a great public and professional success.
In 2009, he comes back with « Microphonium », first new creation in six years. That same year will also be marked by the first show given by the artist at the mythical Moscow Estrade Theater. Since then, the singer regularly crosses the Atlantic to meet his numerous fans in Eastern Europe.
In the spring 2011, the St-Denis Theatre hosts the Folk Opera « Les Filles de Caleb » for which Michel Rivard signs all lyrics and music. In this historical fresco, Bruno plays the role of Napoleon, disappointed lover, who decides to serve God to forget the love of his life, Blanche Pronovost. In December 2011, Bruno Pelletier returns to Europe to join the original cast of “Notre Dame de Paris” for the symphonic concerts “The greatest songs of Notre-Dame de Paris”, with 70 musicians and 40 singers. The three shows at Paris Bercy meet a huge success! Boosted by his eleventh album « Rendus là » published on Sept. 25, album enhanced by a Bruno Pelletier DVD… On stage in Moscow with a brand new show that brings him to many stages from October 2012 on.
For the first time in his career, Bruno is invited to present its Christmas show in Eastern Europe, accompanied by 3 different symphonic orchestras. The concerts in Kiev, St-Petersburg and Moscou meet a big success.
In 2014, Bruno Pelletier ends his tour « Rendus-là » in Europe : Ukraine, Russia, Poland but also Paris – the artist who did not give any solo concerts in France since 2003 makes an immense gift to his European fans : He presents his latest album « Rendus-là » in a single and exceptional concert at the Parisian Cigale in April.
On top of this, the project Bruno Pelletier & Guy Saint-Onge – Music and cinema is born, with a double album including acoustic songs but also symphonic ones. Everything followed by a big tour in Quebec, with more than sixty dates.
