Jean-Jacques Justafré Orchestra

The Big Jean-Jacques Justafré Orchestra is a symphonic orchestra dedicated to variety and in particular Paul Mauriat’s repertory. Jean-Jacques Justafré and Paul Mauriat started their collaboration in 1971, for studio recordings and worldwide tours. In 2005, one year before he died, Paul Mauriat himself, decided to give the direction of his own orchestra to Jean-Jacques Justafré, for a new tour. In 2009, his wife, Ms. Mauriat authorized the organization of a “Tribute to Paul Mauriat” tour directed by Jean-Jacques Justafré in Japan and South Korea. Those shows were a big success.
Now that Paul Mauriat Grand Orchestra no longer exists, Mrs Mauriat invited Jean-Jacques Justafré to create his own band. What he did in 2010 to continue this fine tradition and continue to pay tribute to the repertoire of Paul Mauriat and other great composers. As a conductor, Jean-Jacques Justafré is fully inspired by the spirit of his predecessors. He succeeds to create his own style, and delivers major music pieces to the audience in a talented and enthusiastic way.
The Big Jean-Jacques Justafré Orchestra is made of many of the musicians who worked with the « Big Paul Mauriat Orchestra » at one time and who wanted to give a tribute to this incredible composer.
